We are currently offering the following support groups:

Support Group: Grieving A Loved One During The Pandemic

Mondays at 3pm 
with Ellen McSweeney, LGSW 
The COVID-19 pandemic is a world-changing event that has caused our entire society to grapple with life and death, change and loss, connection, and isolation. For those of us who are actively grieving the loss of a loved one at this time, the pandemic may pose even more profound challenges.    
This group is designed to reduce feelings of isolation, to regulate stress and anxiety, and to increase feelings of support and well-being. Each session will be 75 minutes long and will include time for gentle movement, grounding meditation, and sharing and discussion. Whether your loss is recent or many years ago, you are welcome to join us.  
This group will run for 6 weeks and will be limited to 6 participants. 
$300 paid in advance.

Grupo de Apoyo Psicoeducacional: Herramientas para Manejo de Ansiedad y Estres

Sesion 2:  Afrontamiento al estrés, estrategias, inteligencia emocional y conducta.
Sesion 3:  Estrategias de manejo de la ansiedad
Sesion 4:  Estrés y problemas emocionales, como identificarlos y qué hacer?
Este grupo se reunira cada dos semanas, para un total de 4 sesiones. $120. pago por adelantado.

Support Group: Mindful Check-In (Free)

This group will be offered as a drop-in basis for the duration of Pandemic. The goal of the group is to provide a safe space to share, collaborate, and support each other. 
We will start with a three-minute mindful breathing exercise.

4-Week Mindfulness & Relaxation Support Group
Tuesdays 2 pm
Offered by Dr. Claudia Salazar
We will be offering an introduction to Mindfulness practice. Each session will have a mindfulness meditation or a relaxation practice.
Fee $120

In light of our recent COVID-19 crisis, we offered two webinars (Spanish and English) to help you:

  • Understand fear and stress response as it applies to the COVID-19 situation.
  • Learn and practice some tools to increase psychological resilience:
    • Cognitive Tools: Understanding our brain bias, catastrophic thinking and how to redirect our brainpower to help us plan, prepare, and execute.
    • Emotional Tools: Understanding the role of emotions for survival and how to help us manage them through mindfulness-based techniques.
    • Body-Based Tools: Learn to use the power of your senses, movement, and breath to help you stay grounded.
  • Connect with others for support and an increased sense of belonging.
