EFT Couples’ Therapy
As an EFT (Emotions-focused) trained therapist, Katherine is passionate about helping couples who are feeling stuck in a never-ending cycle of anger, helplessness, and hopelessness in their relationship. In her work with clients, she combines attachment and emotion-based techniques like EFT, in combination with her strong CBT background.
In therapy she helps couples uncover the harmful patterns they’ve been stuck in and develop new skills for achieving lasting, positive change. As a result, the couples I work with are able to experience the joy of being meaningfully and safely connected to their partners.
EFT is also a powerful therapeutic modality for individuals who experience difficulties in their relationships, stemming from attachment trauma, and family of origin experiences.
Short-Term Individual Therapy
Katherine specializes in providing short-term and time-limited individual therapy to those who are seeking to decrease symptoms of depression and anxiety by learning to recognize patterns of thinking and coping that may be creating or contributing to their suffering. Clients who may need support from a professional psychotherapist but are not yet ready to engage in an in-depth process can also benefit from time-limited supportive psychotherapy.
Working with Katherine
Katherine’s is a great fit for clients who appreciate an active, conversational, and down-to-earth style. Her therapeutic approach is informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles. She likes to work with clear objectives, either in short-term therapy or in long-term therapy for those interested in changing personality patterns that are deeply rooted or that have generated difficulties over a long time or in various life scenarios.
Katherine is licensed in VA, MD, DC, and is licensed to provide online counseling in Florida.
